{Silhouette} Valentine's Day Shirt

Monday, February 9, 2015
Good morning! Happy Monday!

Valentine's Day is coming up, and I wanted to make Grayson a shirt to wear to daycare on Friday.

I can't take credit for this design because a very sweet lady shared it in one of the Silhouette groups I am in on Facebook, and I downloaded it from there. I purchased some heat transfer vinyl recently to play around with, and I only bought silver and red, so that is what I used for this shirt.

I don't have a heat press, so I used a regular iron and hoped it would work. Someone online gave me the tip to use either a teflon sheet or a pressing cloth and press for 15 seconds, remove the carrier sheet, cover again with the teflon sheet or pressing cloth and then press for another 15 seconds. That is what I did, and it stuck! I did not have a teflon sheet or pressing cloth, but my mama had something that she uses to iron her appliques, and I used that. It worked perfectly!

I'm so proud of how my first attempt at an HTV shirt turned out! I will definitely be trying this again. I hope y'all have a great day. Thanks for stopping by today!
