Hi there! I have been having fun with my Silhouette lately. I've had it for a few years, but it spent a lot of time collecting dust. I have been trying to use it more!
I found these adorable ceramic heart-shaped dishes at Family Dollar for just $1. They are rather small and the perfect size for ring dishes! I participated in a Valentine's swap, and Dana was my swap partner, so I made her one as part of her goodie package. I used red and black vinyl for her monogram and name.
I also made some for Grayson's daycare teachers, and I decided to use gold and pink vinyl for theirs. I think these colors look so pretty together! I really love how these dishes turned out. I may have to go back and get me one!
I filled the dishes with Hershey's Kisses, wrapped them in cellophane, and tied them off with the Valentine's Day tags I posted last week. I think it will be such a sweet surprise when they get to the bottom of the dish and realize it is personalized!
This was such an easy, inexpensive, yet thoughtful Valentine's Day gift! Pier 1 Imports also has some affordable, white, ceramic dishes that work great as ring dishes. I have used those in the past, but the heart ones were too perfect for Valentine's Day.
I am entering this project in Challenge#169 - Anything Goes at Word Art Wednesday. Their verse this week is "Let all your things be done with charity." 1 Corinthians 16:14. I really enjoyed the message about the scripture while reading the blog. It's definitely one I needed to hear today. If you get a chance, I encourage you to head over there and read it. You won't be disappointed. While I didn't make a card, I definitely made these projects with lots of love, and I added love-themed tags to them.
That is it for me today. I hope y'all have a great day!
Supplies:
