My New Kindle Case

Friday, June 8, 2012
Hey y'all!!

I hope you've been having a good week! I got some happy mail today, and I wanted to share it with you.

I recently purchased a Kindle Touch. I debated for a long time about whether I should get a Kindle or not. I've always loved to read, but I just wasn't sure if I would actually use it or not. Plus, I was being cheap. LOL!

Well, when I started having to get weekly allergy shots and had to sit in the doctor's office for an hour each week, I decided to go ahead and get a Kindle to occupy my time there. I don't know why I put off getting one for so long because I LOVE it!!

Because I carry it around in my purse, I purchased a cover for it so it wouldn't get scratched up. I ordered my cover from this Etsy shop - The Sweet Life by Design. It is ADORABLE and well-made! The hardest part in ordering was deciding which of the cute fabrics I wanted. I found a couple of shops that sold similar covers, but they didn't have the button closure. I really wanted one that would close, so that's what sold me on this one. I love the ruffles, too!

A friend recommended this site - Inspired Reads - to me for free inspirational books. I check it everyday and download a few books that I think might interest me. I also found this site - eBook Flings - where you can loan and borrow books. I've already used it a few times.

Do you have a Kindle? If so, are there any other good sites you can recommend? If you don't have one and you love to read, I really recommend getting one!

Have a great weekend!

  2. Thanks for sharing your Kindle cover finds (and the book download links, too). I'm thinking I might be able to replicate yours from the photo...sewing fabric instead of paper for a change! Have a good weekend.

    1. Yes, it looks very simple to do! I am sewing illiterate, except on paper! I'm sure you could do it! It's an easy design.
