Hi there! It's time for another sketch challenge at The Sweet Stop! This was a really great, layer-filled sketch! It's the perfect way to combine lots of patterned papers.
All of my papers are from the October Afternoon Thrift Shop Line. I have made it a personal goal to buy every stack that October Afternoon comes out with. LOL! I *love* their paper!
The image is a digi stamp from Designed2Delight. I am participating in their challenge this week - for the first time, actually. If you make a card using the free digi and enter it into the challenge, then you get a free digi emailed to you next week. So, if you play every week, you'll accumulate quite a few free digis. How cool is that?!
Back to my card - I colored the image in with Copic markers and cut it out with Classic Square Nestabilities. I sponged Memento Cantaloupe around the edges. I did LOTS of sewing on this card and added some trim with my Martha Stewart Arch Lattice border punch. A cream-colored bow and a few brads finished off my card. By the way, this is for my mom for Mother's Day!
I am entering this card in:
Pixie Challenges - use Kraft paper
Dare U 2 Digi Stamp - anything goes
Incy Wincy - anything goes
Fab 'n Funky - use border punches
Easy Craft Projects - Spring
Catch the Bug - flower power
Totally Paper Crafts - stitching
Raise the Bar - for Mom
If the shoe fits - for Mom
For Fun Challenges - for Mom
Wee Memories - stitching
CCEE Stampers - Mother's Day
Creative Card Crew - flowers
I also made another card with this sketch. I haven't done the inside yet, because I think this card would be fitting for many different occasions - friendship, thinking of you, birthday, Mother's Day, etc.
For this card, I used papers from the Memory Box Frond collection. The image is from Garden of Friends by There She Goes. I colored it with Copic markers, cut it out with circle Nestabilities, and sponged around the edges with Memento Cantaloupe. I also did some stitching on this card. I added some trim with my Fiskars Apron Lace punch and a white bow.
Be sure to hop over to the Sweet Stop blog to check out the sketch and the inspiration from the Sugar Babies: Nancy Brown, Kelly Caslow, Renata Elenbaas, Audrey Gonzales, Julie Masse, Kathy Page, Korin Sutherland, Andrea Vernagus, and Dana White.
Thanks for stopping by!
