Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #142

Sunday, June 3, 2012
Hey there! Happy Sunday to y'all!

It's time for another Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge!

Host:
Diane

Scripture:
Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. ” Isaiah 40:26

Challenge:
Create a card that depicts any element of heaven—angels, music, clouds, sun, stars, blue, glitter, bling, etc.

Sponsor:
Market Street Stamps is offering a $20 gift card to one random winner! Thank you, Market Street!

Now I have to do a little rambling about my card, y'all. I knew that I wanted to use the Day or Night stamp set by There She Goes because of the sun and moon images. I decided to keep my card clean and simple by stamping the images across the bottom of my card. As I was stamping the images, I thought, "I've seen this somewhere before." Then, it hit me....Jessie's card! LOL! Have you ever accidentally CASEed someone? Well, that's just what I did! Here's a link to Jessie's card that I guess must have been stuck in my head and inspired this card! :)

I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them very simply with Copics. I scored two horizontal lines just to add a little something to this otherwise clean card. I finished it off with some ribbon.

Be sure you check out what these other fabulous ladies have to share with you today!

  1. Candace, I LOVE this card. What a sweet and simple way to "look to the heavens!" And what a funny story. I've done the same thing before so your story made me smile! Have a blessed week, and may all you encounter been seen through the lens of God's heavenly, eternal perspective. Love you, little sister!

  3. Hi Candace! Great CAS card! Love the beautiful simplicity! I think its great when we are inspired by other people's works...I'm flattered when someone wants to"copy" what I made. I'm sure Jessie feels that way too!
