Simple Christmas Tags (and some news!)

I know it's not quite Thanksgiving yet, but I couldn't resist whipping up some simple Christmas tags this afternoon. I was inspired by Heather Pulvirenti's take on this week's Clean and Simple Stamping FTL216 sketch. She also made a Christmas tag, and I realized this was a perfect sketch for some quick tags!

I used Bo Bunny Mistletoe paper and some V-Striped Twill Ribbon both from the Ribbon Carousel store. Speaking of the Ribbon Carousel store, did you know that they are having a MAJOR sale? Check it out! 

The stamp is a sentiment from the Merry and Bright stamp set by MFT Stamps. I did a little stitching around each tag and accented them with Kaisercraft Rhinestones. I also used some jute twine and red and green baker's twine.

It felt good to do this little bit of stamping today. I haven't had hardly any motivation to stamp lately! I think my mind has been occupied with other things, plus I've also been very tired! That might be because of the  news that I have been meaning to share on my blog; however I keep forgetting to share it! 

I am going to have a baby!! My husband and I are expecting a sweet little blessing that is due in May 2013! We are SO excited!! Between being sick and feeling exhausted all the time, stamping hasn't been at the top of my to-do list lately, and that's why I enjoyed making these tags so much today!
