Hi there! Welcome to Day One of Release Week at There She Goes Clear Stamps!
Melyssa is at it again, and just in time for all your graduation needs!
This stamp set is PERFECT for ANY grad, young or old!! There is NO better way
than to honor your favorite grad with a card, or scrapbook page, honoring their
achievements!
ConGRADulations is
a 4x6 set that includes a total of 17 stamps and will sell for $15.00.
Okay, first of all, let me just say that I LOVE this set! It cannot get any cuter! I have been needing a good graduation stamp set, so I was so excited about this one, and it came just in time because I needed to make two graduation cards for girls at church. I usually don't duplicate cards, but to save time, I went ahead and made both of these cards just alike. However, I colored the other girl blonde since the recipient is a blonde. I didn't take a picture of that card since they were basically the same.
I made this card using the awesome sketch in this week's TSG #157 Challenge. It fits the image perfectly! You can check out all the challenge details here. We'd love to have you play along with us.
I stamped my image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending cardstock. I've been testing out a few different cardstocks for Copics, and this is my favorite so far. Now, if I could just improve my coloring skills, but I'm working on that. Seriously. I'm taking a class. :) I colored the gown and cap royal blue to match the school colors.
The papers are October Afternoon Thrift Shop. I've been trying to pull out papers I haven't used in a LONG time. I loved the text paper that had words like "memories" and "moments." After all, high school is full of memories! The sketch had a place for a spiral clip with a ribbon and a sentiment attached to it. I was scared, let me tell ya! Jessie is AWESOME at pulling that off. I have tried and failed many times, but I was determined to get it right this time just because the sketch had it, and by George, I think I got it! What do ya think, Jessie?! This isn't something I'll be doing often, but I am happy I did it for the sake of the sketch. :) Oh, and I did some sewing (just cause it had been a few cards since I sewed on one) and accented my image panel with a few little black rhinestones. That's it!
