Meljens Designs #110 - Black

Thursday, May 17, 2012
Hi there!

It's time for a new challenge at Meljen's Designs! This week's challenge is to use black on your card - a little or a lot! I think I used a medium amount. LOL! :)

I have a friend at school who is very dear to my heart, and she is retiring at the end of this school year. Not only is she retiring, but she's moving away from here, so I'm going to miss her! As I was browsing through my digis and trying to decide which one to use on my card today, I spotted this one and decided to make her a retirement card.

This digi is Apple for Teacher. I colored it with Copic markers. The layout is Split Coast Stampers Sketch Challenge #385

I have to show y'all what happened with this card! I feel like goofy things like this happen to me all the time! I just wanted to CRY! I decided I wanted to put some red Liquid Pearls around my image panel, and a whole glob of it came out! A mistake in card-making is just an opportunity to embellish, right? That's how all those stars ended up on my card. I actually love the stars, though! :)

That's it for me! Thanks for stopping by! I hope you'll join us in the challenge this week!!
